Turmoil

The turmoil continues today, reports of more fighting in Donetsk overnight has resulted in disruption of power  and water supplies. This is a serious humanitarian issue in a city of over a million people.

There is blatant and constant shelling by Russia of Amvrosiivka in Donetsk Oblast, reports on the amount of dead and injured are unclear at the moment.

The Ukrainian army are now moving in to finally try and liberate Donetsk, this will no doubt be a bloody and drawn out battle that will hopefully break the stalemate of the conflict. We really want to get into Donetsk to try and capture the effect this is having on the people. It is really important for us to discover the stories there and it is so frustrating that all we can do is sit here and wait for an opportunity to enter.

Dozens of social networking pages confirming a Russian invasion have been published, this is not corroborated however. The escalation of Russia's involvement in this conflict is evident, several Russian spy Drones have been shot down and yesterday a simulated attack by Russian troops was carried out on a point of the border closest to Kiev.

Information is patchy at the moment but we will keep the blog updated as matters develop.

The documentary we are making here is entirely self funded so if anyone could spare a bit of money to help support it or if you would like to sponsor the film, you can donate on our site http://jtecproductions.moonfruit.com/

Thank you
